Thyme of the Season page is
up at Katherine and Friends. The link to my webpage is wrong, but other than that it's great.
The Robot vs. Dinosaur meeting went well. The director and I were dressed alike- both in red shirts. I think this bodes well. They need to cut down the script- he's going to send me suggested cuts by E-mail, and then we can argue about them. My show will be the inaugural piece in the "Drunken Reading Series" ("Theatre without beer is a museum" - Bertolt Brecht). It'll probably take place in October. I get to be at auditions, which will probably be in September. They're very happy to see the people I suggested. Woooooo! Director was very nervous about suggesting cuts (his first time working with a playwright who can actually smack him across the table), but I told him to be vicious.
The meeting was held at Caffe Dante in the village, where I had some delicious tiramisu flavored gelato.
Before that, I discovered that no one can get to my temp company, because the entire street is closed due to the steam pipe. So, no paycheck for me. This puts a crimp in my plans. Very annoyed.
update they're attempting to do a direct deposit thing, and if not they'll have paychecks somewhere in NYC.
Oh, and Michael Musto regarding Hairspray: "My Main problem is that having Scientologist John Travolta play the Divine role is a little like getting Michael Jackson to play Nelson Mandela".
And also,
Girls Gone Wilde over at Cat and Girl made me laugh this morning.
