On Sunday my throat started hurting and yesterday it was not getting any better, so I tried making an appointment with my new Primary Care Physician on my new insurance. They said Dr. Rees did not have any appointments available until next Wednesday and since I am a new patient I could not see one of the other physicians there until I met with him first. They recommended I go to their Immediate Care Center though and it would be the same co-pay. So I went there after work yesterday and they did a Strep throat test which came up negative. They said they would leave it for an overnight test which sometimes finds results that the immediate test does not pick up. They said something about "cobblestoning" in my mouth and that I should just take some Advil Cold & Sinus and also gargle warm salt water. I have been taking the medicine and gargling all day and I still don't feel any better. I decided to take some pictures of my throat to see what I could find and I found white bumps on my tonsils! This explains why it hurts so bad. I looked up tonsillitis pictures and some of them look similar to this.
My nasty tonsil pictures... I have an appointment for Wed Dec. 26th with Dr. Rees which I originally scheduled just so it would be easier to get an appointment whenever I needed to in the future, but if this keeps up I might actually have a genuine reason to see him.
