so the good news is that i found the missing geocache i posted about previously. It took quite a bit of research - but i found it!
cache log more good news - i bought the kayak! this isn't it exactly, but it's the closest image i can find ..
i'm supposed to attend a little kayak basics at EMS tonight - no, i'm not really needing most of the basics, but i thought it would be a great place to test out the 17 ft and play with the rudder in calm open waters.
problem is..... i really did some damage to my heel last night playing volleyball. the volleyball is definitely good news - my friend jill has a group she plays with and invited me to join in - i had a fantastic time! I felt great all the way home - sat down to check out some email, etc - when i got up to do some laundry pain shot through my heel and my lower leg. MY guess due to the type of pain? The plantar fasciitis i dealt with a few years ago.
I took it easy the rest of the evning, worked on my stretches and kept off my feet. I would have iced it down, but everyone int he house had gone to bed and i wasn't going to make it down the stairs.
honestly? i could really use a set of crutches right now.
i'm supposed to do a lot more today too, but have no idea how it's going to pan out. I have physical therapy at 11 (i wonder if i can just tell them about it and they can help me out, or if i have to go to my dr to get a referral?), have to meet with a local cacher at 3 about an event, have to find a cache and the kayak class is at 5pm.
I woke up this morning and the heel felt fine until i stood up. it's like the worst bruise you've ever had and it feels like there is no cushion left under your heel. like you're walking on bone. Right now, to get around, i've got a scarf wrapped around the back of my foot so there is some extra padding.
it might look stupid, but i can move.
this sucks lots.
