morning!
the summer is getting into some kind of schedule.
up early so that i can get out to grab a cache 1) before it gets too hot, and 2) so i can get it over and done with in order to have a little more time before work.
instead of 3-cl, i'm now working 2-cl, which means i have to leave my house by 1:30, which means i need to be home by 1 in order to make sure i'm ready to go. i'm definitely looking forward to my next paycheck (in two weeks) as it will be the first paycheck of the summer with (hopefully) about 16 hours of overtime.
yes, i'll be doing nothing much but working over the summer, but it will give me the opportunity to pay off some debt from the road trip and Dippy's engine work.
Speaking of which, I need to stop by a meineke soon to get a second opinion about Dippy - it sounds like the heat shield for the catalytic converter is loose and S (while working on Dippy during the great head gasket blow of '08) said he's pretty sure i'm going to need some exhaust work soon. After a tire rotation at sears the other day, I was told the lower left ball joint is loose and will need to be replaced soon and before I can get a front end alignment (the tread on the tires is feathering due to the current alignment)
I'm not really mad about the new work that needs to be done to Dippy - again, it's only going to make him stronger and last longer... i'm happy to invest in him. It also helps that currently, with a steady job, I can finally afford to do things like this again.
I had a really great bit of conversation with CYBret yesterday about 'mankind' and how arrogant (THAT'S the word I couldn't think of, Bret!) we are as a whole. I wish that more people would think about how their actions will affect the person next to them instead of what they get out of their actions.
