Wow - the month of October has FLOWN by.
today is the last Keeneland day - YAY! it is also game three of the world series - Go Sox!
speaking of which, tracker7 and I had a FANTASTIC time blowing off the movie for bw3s and the second game. That was JUST what I needed. I'm glad we got to hang out before I left! :)
jelegar and animewench were totally responsible for the drunk part of my visit.... i'm sad we didn't have the time to get a proper spades game goin :( - another time, perhaps. girlhair and I didn't cause near enough trouble, but I did have a super-fantastic time with her and others with the great pizza experiment of '07. I wish there was more time for a repeat, but it doesn't look like that will be so (unless you want to come over tonight while currylicious and i watch the game? (or at least while i watch the game :P). kinysys cooked one heck of a dinner AND provided quite an interesting reading for me one night at the new (old) geek palace (man that ice cream was fantastic!) and i had a nice dinner with sfamiliar last night at billy's BBQ - man i've missed that place! it totally kicked malone's butt :p tulip_in_yellow and i should be heading out monday night for some fun (watch out lexington!) - and last but not least, there is tegyrius and elalyr's wedding on sunday. I know you guys are probably frustrated all to hell right now with the whole shebang, but it's going to be a wonderful day - and i'll kick anyone's shins who thinks otherwise! :p
i'm sorry i didn't get to see gallowsbait or highway23 or rabid_x along the way... but i was amazed at how much time i DIDN'T have. oh well, next year, right?
so i leave in 6 days for a trip to nashville for a few days to see kristy (hopefully) then it's off to western ky to see the ex-in laws and the new baby, then st. louis, all of kansas and a hefty week+ stay near denver colorado.

a really crappy pic of the BEST damn food anywhere. Ryan's Famous Corn Brats. yes, those are brats that have been beer battered and deep fried. oh my goodness it was like heaven
a VERY exhausted hb_merlot, currylicious and myself with our celebratory sticks 'o meat and cheap wine after a 5 mile hike through the wood and pouring rain in nashville.
the ONLY dry patch left on me mid-way through the hike.
