summary of the past week
for the past week - i have been engaging in mischief (prank calling, etc.)
- applying for jobs
- driving a lot
i went to lawrence for a few days, got settled in the appartment, applied for a few jobs (i have an interview friday!!!), and then came back down to wichita to clean out the lebaron so i could give it away.
while cleaning my room yesterday- i discovered a bag containg valentine's cards from 1992 - when i was 6 years old. it was strange because i was reading cards from people i once knew, but had long forgotten.
i also discovered - 1. my handprints from when i was 6, 2. a letter from my mom when i was in colorado, and 3.a letter from my grandfather. he wrote about what a great ride we had had when i visited (i was finally tall enough to reach the stirrups on the horse).
i can't really describe the profound effect that these discoveries had on me - but it did remind me of the movie amelie when she finds the toys of the old man and delivers them to him.
