I'm not loving this thing that seems to be happening to me about once a week lately, where I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. Last night I woke up at 2:30 in the fucking ack emma, spent over an hour tossing and turning, and finally surrendered and got up at a quarter to four. Yuletide draft done and sent to beta. There's still a lot of work to do, but I no longer feel the bears nipping at my heels--they're at least a pace behind me now!

I haven't had problems with insomnia in quite a while, but tonight, after going to bed earlyish because I have to be at work at 6 am, I woke up at a little before midnight and could not get back to sleep.
