I just finished "The Masque of Mandragora," which was dull and occasionally laughable (it's a bad idea to write in a big masque scene if you can only afford to hire about six extras). But Giuliano and Marco were very very gay together. So gay that it was only barely subtext. That made me happy. I like to imagine Doctor Who sending out subliminal gay-positive messages long before anything more overt would've been acceptable.
