So Valentine's day remained uneventful, stress free and depression free. lol YAY!
Just a tiny update to say hi and let you know I'm all right. Been keeping up with the world... that's right, stepped out from under my rock. One of my favorites worldly events right now? BSB. Is it possible to not be a teeny bopper but somehow still be enthralled and enamored with Brian Thomas Littrell? Well it'd better be! lol
Oh I guess while I'm here I might as well vent.
One of my favorite shows might be going off the air this year. CHARMED!
The actors themselves are contracted for 8 seasons and the show is now in it's 7th but the WB Network hasn't picked up Charmed for the 8th season yet.
Brad Kern (executive producer, writer, director) had this to say about it: "We've been doing everything we can to give this current season a special feel because, for all we know, it's the last. We don't have any indication from the network when they're going to tell us [their decision], so my attitude has been, 'Well, we'll shoot with both barrels and give the audience everything we can.' And that'll do one of two things: help make the seventh season memorable for the fans, or spur the network to give us one final year."
David Janollari (President of the WB television network) responded with: "Charmed is a great show that is performing pretty well for us on Sunday night. I'd love to see it back, but it's a little premature right now."
and finally... my future husband (one of many), Brian Krause (plays Leo Wyatt on Charmed) said this: "I really don't want it to end, for the WB and for Charmed and for the fans alike, We have a hundred more shows in us, for sure. It would be a shame. It's hard to even think in the realm or in the terms of how I would like to see it end. If we were to end the show, [I'd like] to see the charmed ones get what they've always been after. It's that normal life and being able to contain it all and have the lovelife, where everybody finds what they want. Kind of a happily-ever-after kind of scenario."
Anyway... how I feel about it is if it indeed has to end (which all things do) it should not end this year. The way this season has been going, it's not leading up to a series end. If one had to be written now it wouldn't do the show justice because they'd have to rush to write an ending that can tie up ALL loose ends. There's no way that can be done in such a short period of time and not have it be cheap and dismissive of seven years of loyal fans who have stuck through even the death of a principal character.
I say bring the show back for a final eighth season since the actors are contracted for it anyway. That gives the writers a full season to work up to a deserving ending and it gives the fans a thank you for the loyalty.
All done now.
Be good kiddies :)
