Anthrocon & SIGGRAPH 2009
Hello All!
Us girls from Kikibee just submitted our application to attend Anthrocon this summer! We filled everything out and submitted our applications yesterday over coffee :D We are prepping some fancy stuff and making some Kikibee merchandise to sell there, as well! It's gonna be awesome, I can't wait *_* So if you are going to be in the neighbourhood, come say hi! <3
I will also be attending SIGGRAPH 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana. I will be a Student Volunteer Team Leader. There are still a couple of days before the deadline to apply to be a student volunteer, and I would definitely recommend it! They reimburse some of your travel expenses, and the experience is totally worth it. You get to see tons of cool stuff before anyone else, including crazy technology, sneak peaks from different 3D film studios, artists, and all sorts of presenters. It's really a great way to network and see what's out there in the 3D graphics, graphic arts and gaming communities. I will be there for sure, and if you are a student volunteer, I may just be bossing you around ;)
I am looking into *trying* to apply for Anime North in the artist alley, although I had terrible luck last year in getting a table. I may be attending Anime Weekend in Atlanta as well, or even the anime weekend in New York, but those will depend on how much I can raise in funds beforehand for so many plane tickets XD If I can make it worth my while to go, then I will do my best!
