Thursday mornings I read to two groups of pre-schoolers in the high school library. The first group is usually quiet and well behaved. The second contains a lot of kids with IEPs, they get easily distracted and sometimes act up. They also on occasion mob me with hugs ( Read more... )

M's eyes are giving him problems at this time, so I played chauffeur twice last week and again today. In the book Cast in Chaos, author Michelle Sagara mentions "fauna rising between the cobblestones" as one of the indications of a massive magical discharge in a city scene ... As mentioned previously, I subbed in the high school library Tuesday. One of the things I did was to read to the little ones, 3-4 year olds this time, younger than the ones I usually read to on Wednesday. When I introduced myself, their teacher/ watcher told them "Oh, you're in for a treat today!"
