Newsflash - NOAA reveals - londonbard officially does NOT exist
Maybe this explains why I haven't seen her on AIM lately.
According to the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the londonbard does not exist and never has existed. I quote "No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found."
The article ends with the question "Why, then, do they occupy the collective unconscious of nearly all seafaring peoples?" To my mind, that's pretty much a no-brainer. Sailors are a horny bunch at the best of times which, obviously, a long sea voyage isn't. After months at sea with only other men for company, they'd be hallucinating half-naked women all over the place, wot?
