Heath notes - heat & swelling

Jun 22, 2012 08:25

I had to soap my wedding ring off this morning. I'd worn it for three days (and nights) with no noticible ill effects, but this morning, I realised that my left hand/arm was giving me a lot of grief and when I checked the ring, it wouldn't budge. I suspect that the trouble with my arm is due to some sort of inflammation - perhaps caused by the excessive heat of the past few day. Well, sudden high temperatures, I'm not so sure that temperatures in the 90s in June can really be termed "excessive" - but they seem so considering that we've had 70's and low 80's up until now.

Anyway, because of the heat, I've been making and drinking sun tea - more liquid than is my usual. I am also suffering from the heat more than my usual just because it is so sudden.

Oddly enough, now that the ring is off, my arms not giving me as much trouble. Very strange.

I do not suspect my weight to be the cause of my wedding ring being so tight on my finger because my weight has not increased in the past month. It hasn't decreased either, sadly, but since it has been 2 to 3 pounds less than the previous low weight, I'm not obsessing over it. And since I'm not actively dieting or doing anything special to try to lose weight either, I don't feel discouraged. Don't get me wrong, I would *like* to lose more weight, but I'm not going to grieve so long as my physical symptoms remain in abeyance.
