Library stuff

Yesterday was the "Reality Fair" at the high school - local businesses send representatives into the school with materials explaining what it is that they do and the kids go around to visit the displays. This takes place in the library. (The fiction shelves are all on wheels, so the individual 6-shelf units can be moved easily). Luckily, while this mayhem is taking place, the library functions themselves are shutdown - luckily because the head librarian had to take off to deal with a family issue. Her teenaged daughter had been to the ER the night before, suffering stomach cramps and she (the librarian) was taking her to their family doctor yesterday.

I didn't know anything about that at the time, I had been told of the Reality Fair, so I waited until about 12:30 to go in. I worked some more on the fiction collection - separating it into the separate genre sub-collections, which at this point means moving the sub-collections around to where they will be located henceforth. That is done. All that's needed to be done now is to fix the spine labels to reflect the new position of the books on the shelves and to record them in resource lists of the various genres. The Assistant Librarian is handling that so far, but I suspect that I will be helping henceforth. Not printing out labels, though - I always mess that up.

And the ShadowCat just tried to attack Sinteag the sprite who is flying about the rim of the pot of coffee trees. She had been up on the brownie cage, helping Ceard Cluig to free Jehosaphat, but he (Ceard) had apparently gotten fed up with her "backseat driving" and knocked her down. He is the one with the axe, after all.
