more American Girl mini doll stuff
I've completed the gingham dress and figured out some of the how of the pinafore that will top it but ...
Kit is modeling the dress. You see, I find it difficult to make doll clothes unless I have a model so I can check fit and length and ... how it looks. That sort of thing. Since the other two are already modeling outfits and Kit was basically nude, it seemed right to put the dress on her him. Should have been her, but I swear, when I look at that pretty purple check frock on the doll, I get distinct vibes of "Oh MAN! Do I have to? What if the guys see me?"
These vibes are distracting me. Instead of cutting out the waistband and ties for the pinafore, I'm figuring out how to make boy's briefs. I probably should put the gingham frock on Josefina so I can finish it but ... well, really! One of the reasons I was so pleased to have Kit was because "her" hair wouldn't get all over in the way.
