sur-PRISE
Was reading in the library this morning - only one awake
Got up and went to the kitchen, another pot to make
Poured the water through the filter, poured the coffee in my cup
Went back to the library and found ... that someone else was up ...
Not exactly up, more like sorta awake,
He was lying on the couch in the place I'd planned to take.
I was mighty surprised to see 'em, didn't expect anyone there
And now I'm writing doggerel and I'm sitting down right here.
