Na Gurnaidh Update - Hoedown
PK was located down in the swamp. When we asked him what he was doing, he said he was looking for a frog. A frog? Really? He's been grounded ... ummm ... confined to quarters as punishment for worrying us all like that.
The other three were allowed to go to the dance in Town Hall tonight.

That's Jared on the right wearing the white ten gallon hat and cowboy boots. He got those for a part he had in the play Oklahoma. He was supposed to get a brown hat - like the other guys in the chorus - but he switched hats in the box because he wanted to be a Buffy-style "white hat".
Jared is quite interested in theatre. He was in a musical production this summer based on Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He tried out for the part of Jake, but his friend B.D. got the part instead. PURE type-casting!

But he did get the part of Cubby and that was almost as good. Cubby has personality - comic relief. Jared's good at that.

And he's just been cast as Oliver in the musical of the same name. Naturally, he wanted the part of the Artful Dodger but ... as I mentioned before, the director does cast by type.

Simon is involved in theatre too, but he prefers working backstage, not in front of the lights. Except he always gets tagged as Jared's understudy - whether he wants to be or not.
