Thor, Loki and my love

Went to see the movie Thor, the Dark Planet today.

I so very much love my husband. I really really wanted to dress up in some of my finery but the outfit that called to me ... is part of what I wear Halloween and it is most obviously garb. So I dithered and pulled everything else out of my closet and tried on other things and finally chose the blouse I wanted (purple, my second-hand fairy blouse - it has buttons up the back to let the wings out) and a pair of black jeans. I was ready.

Then I decided I would try on the outfit that was calling me, just to see how it looked. Purple blouse, long black skirt, grey overdress with laced bodice, black belt. It ... looked ... GOOD! So I ran downstairs and told him that I was leaving it up to him, either "this" or the jeans. He didn't blink- just said "This".

the movie was very good (could have been excellent but they did that digital blurring thing). Loki is ... gorgeous. I kept feeling as though I ought to recognize the Svartalf leader, but the make-up defeated me. When I saw his name at the end, I was gobsmacked (Dr. Nine, what have they done to you?!) I wish we had seen more of Freya. Did I mention that Loki was delightful? The scene of him in the cell, illusion gone was ... heart-wrenching. I'm very surprised that Thor was the one to come up with the plan (I don't think he'd have trusted it if Loki had devised it.) Would have liked to have seen more of Darcy and Ian (not as much as Erik, Dr. Selvig, though - WOOO!)

And the only thing that the movie explained about the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode I watched the other day was what they were doing in England in the very beginning. (Okay, another mind-boggle, Peter MacNichol as an Asgardian).
