* yawn *
Spent the day constructing a schedule book for the entire school year. This year, the high school day is composed of 7 blocks of classes - 5 blocks per day on a rotating 7 day cycle (that is, if you have a class 1st period on day 1, then you have it 2nd period on day 2, 3rd period on day 3 and you don't go to that class at all on days 6 or 7). This is a change from the 6 classes in 4 periods of previous years (4 of the classes would share the same class period, turn and turn about even and odd days).
Teachers in regular classrooms can get along with a blank template of the seven days, but the library is arranged a bit differently and the head librarian needs a week-at-a-glance schedule to schedule library classes properly. And to figure out where the projectors are. So that's what I did all day long. With a 15 min. break for lunch (I'm supposed to have half an hour, but I figured I'd snack later in the day - except that I didn't 'cause I didn't think to take the time to).
Stopped off at CVS on my way home to refill one of M's 'scripts. There was some buggery about it being too early to refill it, that we had to wait until Saturday - the day he leaves for Israel. I made a protest and the pharmacist on desk-duty made some calls and got permission to fill it then. So I waited. And waited. And waited. I'm not sure how long, 30 min? Longer? Felt like longer.
Felt some rain-splatter as I went on to Stop & Shop. They've not only torn up the part of Broad St. leading to Washington St. Round-about but the sidewalk on either side. I walked Cùl across the street to Forestvale -then walked her a bit further so that she could shed any possible metal shreds (I hope) before I mounted her again. By the time I exited S&S, the pavements were wet, but the skies were dry.
The basket mount repair is NOT adequate for the job. Under the weight of the groceries, the basket was pressing hard on the front bumper - pressing it down into the tyre. I fear me I shall have to buy a new basket after all. :-(
Arrived home to be greeted with relief by B who claimed that the ShadowCat had been importuning HIM to lie down and take a nap with her. I had my snack then lay down and she joined me, insisting on getting scritches before settling down. I was falling asleep when she got up and started head-butting me again. Not for scritches this time, oh no. This time she was pushing me off the bed. "Enough lazing about, go fix dinner NOW!"
Bossy feline.
