Don't Wake the Tavashack
"Sgrìob, sgrìob," scratched the claws of a little small mouse
"Sgrìob, sgrìob," digging in the dirt to build a small house.
"Bìd, bìd, bìd", the wee bird cheeped,
hopping about with a wisp in her beak.
"Cnag! Cnag!" croaked the froggy snapping at the fly
whose wings hummed "Sèisss" loudly flying by
Past the hole on the shore of the dark lake Lochdu
Where the Tavashack slept (as Tavashack do)
All of them forgetting what everybody knew
"Don't wake the Tavashack WHATEVER you do!"

sèis = bzzzzzzz - it's a buzzing noise
cnag = crahk (aka croak)
bìd = beet - a sort of cheeping sound
sgrìob = scrape
and fwiw, "tavashack" is more properly spellt taibhseach, it means something supernatural, otherworldly - a word composed of taibhse meaning ghost or spirit and the suffix -each which basically is "being, person, -er" that sort of thing.
