I learned to sign for the sake of song-signing. I saw Linda Bove signing a song on the Sesame Street Christmas Special in Dec. 1988 and I was smitten, I had to learn to do the same thing. I did learn to song-sign and was accounted able at it, but this ... wow. I am in awe of the so many different ways in which the artists involved interpreted the words ... no, the underlying meaning of the song. In their signs, they pull the truth out of their hearts to show to the world.

As I watch the video, I note that I understand some of the signers and not others and I wonder if that's an artifact of time changing the language or of the fact that they are Canadian - not citizens of the USofA.
