Laneige Make Up Primer Sebum Control

In last week's post about the Cover Girl 3-in-1 Foundation, I mentioned about a primer that works extremely well with it, the Laneige Makeup Primer Sebum Control.

There isn't any English description nor ingredient list on the packaging and this is the only piece of information that I found in the information leaflet inside the box.

For those who reads Korean

I bought a 2nd tube in Seoul in February 2013 and though it was retailing for 24,000 Korean Won but there was a 30% so I paid about 16,800 Korean Won which is approximately half price of what we can get in Singapore!

Did I say 2nd tube? Yup! I m currently slightly under 1/4 left of my first tube that lunaface helped CP for me when she was in Korea the year before. Prior to that, she gave me a deluxe sample of this primer that after completing it, I absolutely loved it and got her to get the retail tube in Korea when she was there on a holiday.

I kid you not when I said I am down to 1/4 of the product!

Housed in a plastic squeeze tube with a narrow opening for the product to be dispensed, you really do not require a lot of the product. If you use a tad too much of the product, instead of helping to mattify your face, on the contrary, you will find yourself being more oily than usual so a dime size amount is sufficient. Concentrate on areas where you have larger pores and on areas you tend to be a little oilier than the rest.

It is a semi-opaque silicon primer that is very very similar to that of Smashbox PhotoFinish. It definitely contains dimethicone if you ask me. Unfortunately there isn't an English ingredient list or any ingredient list in Korean to begin with but I am sure it contains dimethicone from the texture.

The silicon primer helps fills in pores and mattifies your face instantly to allow your makeup to glide on very smoothly. As the description in the instruction leaflet mentioned, it contains seaweed extracts that helps with sebum control which is extremely true! The oils on my oily skin is kept at bay with this product as a base and with a good oil control foundation like the Cover Girl's, my foundation lasts the entire day without any signs of being melted away!

Oh, did I mention that it is pleasantly scented like a juicy lime? Do give this a shot if you have oily skin like mine and is not sensitive to silicon primers. I would also recommend that you get a CP from Korea because it costs approximately S$40 in Singapore if I remembered correctly.
