Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation + Ensulizole Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF20

I don't know about you but I personally watch YouTube more than the telly and it is through the beauty videos that I get my lemmings for new beauty products especially items that can't be purchased in Singapore. As the saying goes, The Grass is Greener on The Other Side....

1 such product is the Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation + Ensulizole Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF20. When it was first launched (quite a while ago), I was desperately trying to get my hands on this and my order with drugstore.com where I ordered other items along with this to combine the shipping, the item was OOS and I had to wait till it was back in stock and that I had to order some other stuff along with it to combine the shipping.

I have 2 shades because I was a little fairer quite a while ago and most of my foundations seems a tad darker and instead of tossing them out, I decided to get a shade fairer of foundation to mix it in but I kinda like this foundation on its own and bought a darker shade to suit my natural skin tone when I was in the United States in late December last year.

This foundation is said to have a lasting power of a primer, coverage of a concealer and a bendability of a foundation, all in one, while being shine free! Seems like a lazy person's dream product huh?

Housed in a glass bottle, you will totally appreciate the pump that it comes with that also has a locking mechanism to avoid leakage should you lose the plastic cover. The pump is really a dream come true, not only does it avoid messy application like the Revlon Colorstay, 1 pump of the foundation gives you the right amount of product for the entire face. Not too much, neither is it too little. It was just PERFECT!

Ingredient list. Now you know why it is said to have a lasting power of a primer and is shine free. Dimethicone is the 5th ingredient.

So how does this American Drugstore foundation that costs less than US$10 fare? I sorta gave it away when I said I liked the product and got a 2nd bottle in my shade. It is as true as it claims! It is a long wearing almost full coverage liquid foundation that is unlike other full coverage liquid foundations that is thick in consistency and is difficult to blend. The bendability of this foundation is smooth and unless you have very bad scarring or pigmentation, the coverage is pretty decent, almost full. I do not need a concealer with this foundation.

On days that I know I will be working late or heading out after work, I'll use a separate primer to help enhance the longevity of the product without having to touch up, maybe just a little powder on my t-zone where it tends to get oily, especially after 12 hours of wearing the product. My favourite primer with this product is the Laneige Make Up Primer Sebum Control. I will probably write a separate entry on that primer but it is the perfect companion to this long lasting almost full coverage liquid foundation.

The only drawback is that the SPF is pretty low. I usually wear an SPF of 50 in the day so I'll have to wear a separate sunscreen when I am using this foundation.

If you have access to Cover Girl products, do give this a shot. Especially if you have oily skin like myself. For those residing in Singapore, fret not, get your Cover Girl fix from drugstore.com and get it shipped to Singapore via a 3rd party freight forwarding company. It is well worth the shipping!
