L'Oreal Youth Code BB Cream
I am a huge fan of the Lancome Genefique and when Youth Code was marketed as a dupe of the Lancome Genifique at a fraction of the price, I soon became a fan of L'Oreal Youth Code. And when 2 of my favourite products are brought together, needless to say, I HAD to get it, despite the fact, it was not available in Singapore and it is a little pricer than your usual BB Creams.
It sure sounds like a pretty promising product!

Ingredients
L'Oreal Youth Code BB Cream Illuminator Broad Spectrum SPF 15
Coverage: Light (Sheer)
Texture: Gel-like texture
Shade: I bought Light which was still a little dark for me if you see it in reality
Undertone: Slight grey
Fragrance: Flora scent
Oil-Control: 3-4 hours
Finish: Dewy
Other Comments: I was pretty disappointed in this BB Cream because coverage is pretty light and even with a 'Light' shade, it was still pretty dark. Even with its sheer coverage, you could still see that the base product is a little darker than my skin tone. After trying this product with several methods, I finally found the perfect combination and method in using this BB Cream. Instead of using it as a typical BB Cream, since it has a dewy finish and is marketed as an illuminator, it is a perfect illuminating base/ highlighter. The dewy finish helps create a flawless almost-optical bluring effect to give an amazing glow!
See what I mean? You can probably still notice some scaring on my cheeks but the overall healthy glow is diverting the attention away. I really enjoy this finish BUT as oil control isn't the greatest, I can't wear this on a daily basis and only on the weekends when I'm running errands or for special occasion(s) that requires this dewy glow. I took this picture with my lap top screen facing at me so as to give me a brighter lighting FYI. It was a perfect canvas for a weekend that yells healthy glow!
If you do not have much to conceal, you can probably get away with just applying this BB Cream but if you require coverage, you might need to use a powder /liquid foundation over the BB Cream or you can simply mix your foundation with a small amount of this illuminating BB Cream and that is what I did.
If you are not into highlighting or illuminating, skip this BB Cream. I am using it in this method only because I did not want to waste the product. If I had known, I will probably not get this BB Cream.
