Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB SPF 20 PA ++

This has gotta be one of my most 'lemmed' in a long long time. I have not wanted to try a product that badly, especially one that is easily available in stores but yet I refuse to get it from the store due to a really bad incident in the store during the first couple of days of opening here in Singapore.

It is the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB with an SPF of 20 PA++! I first saw this on YouTube where this Korean lady was raving about this product which is an upgrade formulation of the previous Aqua Petit Jelly in a shorter plastic container.

Open the box and this is what greets you!

In the box is the double frosted glass pudding container that contains the Jelly BB and a sponge for application of the Jelly BB.

The container sure resembles a pudding / yogurt container huh?

The shade I have is #2 is has pink undertones. I reckon, just like the other Korean brands of BB Creams, #1 probably has yellow undertones.

What I really like about the product is that it comes with a plastic spatula beneath the screw top cover! Sanitary dispensing of the product you say?

In the container, it doesn't quite look like it has pink undertones but in this swatch, you will be able to notice the pink tinge / undertone of the jelly BB.

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB SPF 20 PA ++

Coverage: Medium - Full
Texture: Like jelly / pudding that melts into a liquid upon application
Shade: I got it in Shade #2 which is suitable for NW15-20
Undertone: Pink (#1 will suit those with yellow undertones)
Fragrance:Very pleasant flora scent
Oil-Control: 5-6 hours
Dewy-ness: None. It is a matte finish.
Other Comments: The texture of this Jelly BB is just like puddings/jelly where is is semi solid in the container but upon application or when it comes in contact with heat, it melts into a liquid that get absorbed by your skin almost instantly! Reminds you of another BB that I have reviewed recently? Yup, just like the Skin Food Red Orange Jelly BB! The oil control of this Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB is slightly better than the Skin Food Red Orange Jelly BB but at the same time, it dries up so quickly that it is a little annoying. Notice the swatch above, while one side is still a semi solid, the other has dried up on my skin. This makes application quite stressful as you need to work in a really small area with a really small amount else, it will create an extreme patchy mess. To counteract the patchiness without having to remove all my makeup is to spritz a facial mist and buff the product out again. Though the patchy mess looks much better but definitely not entirely. And because of this, I have stoppped using this after 6 applications as I have to work my way into the application to prevent the patchy mess. I do like the Jelly BB on the whole as it dries to a matte finish with really good oil control. I only wish it did not dry up that quickly. Oh yes, mine's #2 which is a pink undertone. If you have yellow undertones like myself, do get #1 instead.
