Potatoes overdose

made Shepherd's Pie and Cajun & Herb Potatoes for breakfast for best friend and myself.. i'm revealing the domestic goddess in me~

*i'm gonna include the recipe here since the brownies stirred up quite a lemming. i'm gonna reveal the brownie receipe soon!

**i freaking hate the grainy pics taken with my damn E65.

Shepherd's Pie ingredients: Minced Meat, Onions, Potatoes, Seasoning, Mozerella cheese

1) Boil potatoes till soft, remove skin and mash it up (add seasoning if required)
2) Chop the onions, add seasoning to the minced meat, stir fry till fragrant

3) At the base of your baking dish, containers or whatever you're gonna use (i'm using a greaseproof muffin-like disposible container), place the cooked minced meat & onions
4) Place a huge serving of mashed potato, layered with mozerella cheese

5) Add more mozerella cheese on the top prior bringing it to the oven to bake for about 15-20 minutes.

And its done! (my oven's a little cranky, the heat distribution is horrible, after this pic, i had to rotate the pan in the oven for a while longer to get the golden brown crispy top layer on all 6 of the pies)

Cajun & Herb Potato ingredients: Baby potatoes, Olive oil (it doesn't matter if its extra or non-extra virgin), Cajun seasoning, Garlic powder, Mixed Italian Herbs

1) Par-boil or steam the baby potatoes (make sure you scrub the skin real clean)
2) Cut them in quarters

3) In a smaller bowl, mix 2 tbsp of Olive oil with 1-2 tbsp of Cajun seasoning (depending on how you like them), 1 tbsp Garlic powder and 1 tbsp of Mixed Italian herbs.
4) Pour the mixture over the semi-cooked baby potatoes and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes or so

5) In a pan, pan fry the seasoned potatoes till the skin gets a little crispy

Serve with Butterhead Lettuce (its my favourite, i have it with almost any and everything) or savour it on its own!
