Kristine and Alexis passed through WI yesterday. I drove to Portage to meet them for lunch. I'm so glad we were able to get together. I missed them. (And everyone else, of course)
I worked in the nursery for church this morning. Those children are such blessings. We didn't have too many crying toddlers. Maybe 4 or 5. One fell asleep on my shoulder - how precious! Every time I'm in the nursery, I'm just reminded how much God has blessed my life and the body of my church. There are children everywhere! We are truly growing. It also makes me look forward to having kids of my own. Don't worry! I'm not talking about the near future, I still have TONS of things to do still, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Jamie called me tonight. He's on his way home. He wasn't sure if he was going to be able to come home during this four day break, but someone took his EMS shift, so now I get to see him tomorrow. I'm excited, because he'll be able to go to the two Bible studies I've been going to this summer. (One's a college Bible study, and one's with my church) That's one of the things about school that bothered me (one of the only things, really). I was having all these great experiences and meeting all these great people, and he wasn't able to share it with me. Now that I'm home, we'll be able to share our lives a little bit more with each other.
One of my best friends, Lisa, and I are planning a trip to New York over Christmas break. I'm definitely looking forward to it. She's never been there before, so I can't wait to show her the city. I can't believe how much she's grown in the past year. She became a Christian last fall. I missed a lot of how it all happened, but I am so thankful that it did. God has truly blessed our relationship and has strengthened it.
I should sign off for now. It's about 11:30, and I need to get up for class tomorrow. I love you all.
God bless,
