Daily little blessings...
Last night proved that it's definitely tornado season. Yikes. We had one in toan, but it didn't do much damage, praise God. I talked to Jamie late last night. He and the other guys at the department were standing outside when they noticed the wind had picked up a little. Then a lot. They saw a tornado being formed right in front of them. They did eventually go inside, but man, I'm glad I didn't know that had happened. No damage was done to the department thankfully, but the buliding next door is now missing its front half. I was at church for Bible study. A tree fell in the parking lot, but God directed it so that it touched no cars, nor did it block the entrance.
I took my second marketing test today. Not too shabby. I did a lot better than I had on the first one. So I'm pretty satisfied. I also finished early enough to have a long chat with Emily. I miss her!!! My Mondays seem quite unfulfilled without having Nightwatch to go to. Speaking of which, I'm continuing my quest for a keyboard. I'm searching, and I know what I want, but I need to get enough money for it, and one of the music stores in town needs to be able to get ahold of it for me. It'll definitely be a convenience, but a great investment, since I'll be using it for accompanying and stuff. I might see if I can play in the Campus Crusade worship team, because I know they always need someone on the keys. What I really want to do though, is start up a Nightwatch of my own on this campus. Bring His love to the girls on my floor. But unless I can get one before school starts, I'll have to settle for blaring my music. :) But please be praying.
My brother started his first ever full-time job this week. (Can I get an AMEN?!?!) My mom's very impressed. For one, he started going to bed early. (It used to be, "yeah I'm going to bed early, it's only 2 am!") And then yesterday, he even made his own lunch. And then this morning, I had to kick him out of the bathroom! I leave the house at 8:15 to be able to get a parking spot for class. He doesn't have to be to work until 10, AND, he took a shower last night. So what was he doing in the bathroom at 7:45? I have no idea!!! Weird. But next step: girlfriend. (All other steps include: girlfriend, move out, engagement, marriage, and lastly, little neices and nephews! Yep. Got it all planned out.)
Well, dinner's done, (I made it myself, be prous!) So I have to go get the table set. Miss you all! Call me if you get a chance.
