Bodies: Interlining & Stiffening handout

Oct 13, 2012 17:16

I think this is one of the last places I've posted this, sorry, but all the warrant reading I did for the class I was presenting, has been done and is now available.

"Bodies: 16th Century English Support Garments - What They Are Made From, and When Things Changed. Timeline of Support Materials."

Yes, that is a pretentious and rather period long arsed title for a handout. I couldn't think of anything short & funny (and welcome any suggestions).

The handout is on my revamped Workshops & Articles page. Or, you can get the pdf download directly here.

I hope some folks find it of interest. And please, I would appreciate feedback, good, bad, helpful, if you feel like it.

And I will be doing more on this, as I think I do need more in-depth numbers on various garments to be more accurate and better understand this, especially as now I want to submit a paper for Pentathalon (kingdom level competition) in the spring. I guess more warrant re-re-re-reading (and a database) is in my future.

sca, research
