I've not been doing a whole lot, but the past few days I actually spent a few hours to actually finish a section of my heraldic embroidery project. The section is known as Quarter 4, and has the pomegranate and the columbine as the two biggest motifs. This is actually the second section I've added gold to, but the first of the two I am finished with.
Quarter 4 Section Finished
Light & medium browns silk on seed pods added. Pomegranate has gold bullion, check thread, and red glass seed beads. Gold bullion on other small areas of bud and round thing. Japanese gold on large vines, passing thread on small curls and outlines of motifs.
Total hours so far, about 116 hours.
I will now go back to Quarter 3, the other section that has gold added, and finish it off. What had held me off was the lack of the proper silk thread colors in beige, which I now have and applied in Q4. So I can add that into Q3, then finish adding the rest of the gold threads there as well.
