PH let's be independent for once
The Land of Dreams, United States of America. USA is definitely a beautiful country and a powerful one too. Its influence around the world is surreal, they had secured to be on top for years. I once dreamt of going to America, I want to experience a foreign country, and America is very much admired, I wanted to feel it. America is a very much free country, that’s incredible… and majority thought so.. but too much freedom causes a lot of things, a lot of good things and bad things. Philippines had been idolizing US for decades. Our leaders don’t admit it, and wants freedom from them but runs to them when in need. Actually it does not matter at all, we are their alliance and so they are ours. The problem is as much as we look up to them, we want to be like them, exactly like them. We want their freedom, their nonsense, over liberated freedom (If I sound redundant, so be it)
I thought of writing these because I’ve read at the news, the bill of divorce is being pushed through, and a whole lot laws like in USA. Many are still against divorce, but here “their so called” freedom enters. Let the law be for both, which is impossible, you can’t please two ultra-opposite parties, once you made a law, you are taking sides, that’s how life is.. call it unfair but that’s how the world runs. You can’t please God and Satan at the same time. Here I will discuss divorce made the world worse place to live in.
Divorce is making a separation legal, where marriage is not respected. Where marriage is not sacred. God does not want divorce, and people will say He allowed it, but but but because of the hardness of people’s hearts. It means because of sin divorce became an option but this is for the innocent party, those betrayed, left, but as it is written “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." (Mark 10:9), God does not want separation. I feel sorry for those who were cheated on and wants freedom from their cheating partner. But this I will say, separation is not the lone solution. People commonly wants to run away from their problems and divorce is a form of escaping. America is now using divorce as a form of separation without any valid reason, even they could work it out they still would file a divorce because it could be reached by hand. Imagine a world without divorce, a world where people believes on the sacredness of marriage, as much as possible they would work out the marriage. Let’s not make it too perfect where no cheating is involved, where husbands and wives lives happily 100%, mistakes happen but sometimes forgiveness could change things. It could make the guilty party go back. But if we would slap a divorce instantly there’s no room for change, no room for reconciliation, no room for love. If the Philippines would approve this bill, rather than making a law where adultery has consequences, it would make Philippines a country where family is broken, step families are common that leads to lost, unguided children that grows up to be someone you don't want them to be, we are already at that stage, do we want to make it the reasons legal? Accept the fact… it is a domino effect.
