My cats are so jealous of my big ball of yarn. SO jealous. I'm currently learning/relearning how to knit. I had to watch a YouTube video about how to cast on (it has been over 20 years since I've knitted and my Mum used to do that bit for me).
I have remembered the basic knit stitch but I'm doing something wrong. At the ends of each row the knitting is getting wider as I go. I seem to create two new stitches when I do the last one. Not sure if that makes sense but I'm hoping some expert knitter reading this will instantly know what I'm doing wrong and tell me! I threatened to make Thomas wear my first knitting experiment as a scarf but I think I'll give it to the cats to play with instead.
We had a bunch of people over last night to hang out which I really enjoyed. I did find that playing Martian Flux* with more than 4 people didn't really work. A later game with 4 worked much better. Sam has Monty Python version of Flux that I'm keen to try.
This morning I tried gardening in my PJs, housecoat and gumboots. It started spitting which I ignored and then it poured. I hope it continues to rain as I want to try the outdoor bath in the rain.
