I'm sitting here with my iPad, hanging out at Poipu Beach while Shannon swims with his dad. The wind is CRAZY today, much stronger than I've ever seen here, but the temp is still nice and warm, so I don't mind it much. Another lazy day. Shannon's dad is coughing and coughing and coughing; he sounds much worse than yesterday, and I think he spent much of today napping. Poor guy!

Wow. There are lots of very large cockroaches in Kaua'i. Shannon has no fear and approaches them -- whether they are alive or dead -- and disposes of them if they are in the house.
