It's been a week since I turned in my new manuscript to my editor and I have no fingernails left. Truly, she is brutal for making me wait! Kidding! It *is* hard though. My critique group loved it, my son loved, it, but the people who count the most: Gorgeous Editor and Super Agent have yet to read it . . . I will suffer in silence.

I've traveled around Louisiana a lot and met and interviewed 7 traiteurs last spring. They lived all over, from Lafayette to Houma, although in the Houma area they refer to themselves more as "treaters". What city are you near? My upcoming "The Healing Spell" is set in a mythical small town along the Bayou Teche.
The Circle in my new book is a circle of girls using magic spells for beauty and popularity - and start going a little too far. It's a tweener, not YA though. :-)

I like Circle of Secrets if you can't get Secrets, Spells, and Charms.
Cool on the taitueurs. I've never met one. I was teaching massage in Lafayette and talking with someone about natural healing, wholistic medicine and naturopaths when I heard of them. I thought it was pretty cool.
