In my continuing saga to read 50 books in 2007, I bring you book something-or-other (because I've read many that I haven't posted here but I will this weekend) that I'm calling Book 9.
9.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, by J. K. Rowling Don't worry, there are no spoilers here. In fact, I'm not even going to say anything about the book but this... my God, J.K. Rowling is talented! Except for some minor editing to eliminate a couple parts that moved slowly (and even that is really just a quibble), the Deathly Hallows is insanely well written. J.K. Rowling is right up there with Neil Gaiman in terms of sheer creative genius. This is one impressive book.
Here's what's really on my mind... how do I say "goodbye" to Harry now that the series is finished? I find myself inexplicably sad. It's like I'm losing good friends. While it lasted, I loved J.K.'s magical world.
Harry Potter, the boy who lived. I am so going to miss you.
