Cyrano, Mon Amour

Well, sorry to bore everyone with my random quotage, but here are two more quotes that I felt like putting on my livejournal. Hopefully someone out there will enjoy them (even if only mildly so).

"When a man has been too successful in life, even though he hasn't done anything really wrong, he still has all sorts of reasons for feeling a little disgusted with himself" (205).

"The feeling that holds me in its merciless grip could be nothing else but love! It has all the terrible jealousy and somber violence of love, and all the unselfishness too" (129).

Well, they make you think, if anything. They made me think, anyway. But in any case, with all this free time on my hands, I'm looking for some good reading material. If anyone has some books to lend me (or at least some recommendations) I would be very greatful.

Oh, and just as a side note, my random musings while drowsing off on the bus: life is nothing but a series of experiences. the only goal, or purpose, of life, then, is to have as many different experiences as possible. That's borderline nihilism, isn't it? And also, the sentence before last contained way too many commas. Hmpf.
