Libby mysteriously moved out yesterday. I found out she decided not to live here the day before. And the day before that she had accepted an invite to go out for a drink @ Die Bierstube with me, Laurel, Nick, and Ben. Of course she later said she was sick and couldn't go. When we got back (it was just Laurel and I getting home early, we had to work) she was out in the house with a beer... Nick said all she told him was that "with things going on in her life right now the best thing for her to do is move in with her boyfriend"... I bet her boyfriend didn't like her living with 2 dudes.
Ben is paying rent @ both his old place and this one, for April so he is partially moved in and milking as much as he can out of both places until he is fully moved in here. I have yet to meet his rat terrier/min-pin mix, but apparently Zelda is fawn-colored with baby-deer white speckles. Sounds cute. Ben so far, though not fully moved in, is friendly, nice, quiet, and the best part... normal. He owns his own business so he definitely has a job. This is good news. No more Xbox from 9pm - 7am! Man I can't believe how douchey those 2 brothers were and how much I hated being at my own house when they lived here... ugh.
Cody, an annoying pit-mix that Nick is babysitting, hopefully will go home soon. Cody is pretty, and he's got a cute thing where one ear stands up and the other flops over... but whoever owns him is a complete toolbag. He knows how to sit and shake. That is all. How remedial. He is not well behaved and jumps up on people (of course). He'd be a real smart, fun dog if he was trained properly. So I feel bad for him. I thought he was a puppy until I found out he was 2 years old...
Tonight, Laurel and I are going to
Anthony's Home Port for my mother's 64th birthday dinner. I get to dress all flashy, in my new purple-ish button-down and brown pants. Its too cold for her to wear a skirt, d'oh. But she always looks good so I'm ok. Sunday dinner is tomorrow around 2 or 3, but if we went, there would be 11 people and that just sounds exhausting to me. I have been well overworked and underpaid so I really think I'd like to rest Sunday. We will instead paint, drink ginger beer, watch movies, read our books, wrestle, and play with Joe, who is glad that Libby and her cat & rotty moved out.
We slept in this morning for the first time in a long time. We woke up at 8:37AM! This is unheard of around these parts. I think we went to bed slightly later than usual though. I think we went to bed around 10:30-ish. But it was the weekend so that's ok.
I miss seeing friends but it seems like we're always on different schedules. Especially Josh's schedule - he has the weirdest hours, and NO car, so its been since December since I've seen him!
Its been windy and gusty lately here, with wind warnings. Oh, and driving rain. At like, 40ºF which sucks. Where the eff is spring?! Come on Seattle, you gave us such an awesome winter (a 40º winter) why is this continuing into Spring though?
Oh last weekend Laurel and I went on the Burke Gilman trail a few blocks from the house, walked about a mile. We saw a Muskrat! And some ducks. Its a nice trail, I just wish there were less people.
Ok I think we are going to go shower in a few, once Laurel finishes burning a cd for my mom.
