Alas, nothing that I want to be changed is as of yet, and to be fair, not much is in my hands to change. That one Denver posting was filled, which I'm sad about, but then again it was quite far away (trying to remain positive). Given a few comments and such from people at my workplace, I'm still trying for everything I can, so hopefully at some point, there will be happier news there. (Friends and neighbors mentioning that sometimes they've had to look for months/over a year have helped me realize this may not be quick and that I just need to keep trying.)
So... Arisia! Well, they opened online registration, and I'm all signed up. :D They also have a new hotel policy this year, and I'm hoping it will help things not be so hectic (there have been a few recent years that I find myself very lucky to get a room, because it seems a few hours after announcement, they are all gone).
But for me, of course, the focus is on costumes. >:) I actually made a list of possible costumes (and it helped me get through a few days last week). My main concerns are portability, whether I am going to be in a group or not, and if I should recycle what I use for Arisia for Costume Con 35 (which has the theme heroes and villains, and there's a bunch to play with there).
Yakko Warner
http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091120230938/animaniacs/images/8/8d/YAKKO.jpgThis might be a costume best left off stage and just for wandering about the con. If I bring it to the stage, it would only be for Arisia, and I would need to make a quilt painted with all the flags of the world. The good thing about this costume is I have much of it done. The bad news is I need to finish the head and gloves (which are the two hardest parts).
Belle, Bart's Boss
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/simpsons/images/f/f7/Belle_Tapped_Out.png/revision/latest?cb=20150919064634I DEFINITELY will feature this at Costume Con 36, as that theme is Ports of Origin, and her outfit is close enough to actual historical for me to tweak into the correct patterns. I wouldn't really consider this for Arisia, but the song and dance I want to do might be very well received by the staff there.
Dr. Nefarious
http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/ratchet/images/8/85/DrNefarious2-transparent.png/revision/latest?cb=20121017140820So, yeah, want to do him at some point. I'd LOVE to have a second person in on this, though, either as the butler Lawrence or Captain Qwark. I have some of this costume planned from over a year ago, and some idea of how I want to do this, but I'm worried about how to get it undamaged to my destination, so this may have to wait for a closer con.
German dirndl wolpertinger
No pic, as this is just my historical idea for CC35. I probably won't be doing it for Arisia, but I wanted to include it as a possibility. Could be good to do a trial run at Arisia too.
Blood Dragon
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PZvsH7V1yk0/maxresdefault.jpgWould LOVE to do this with another person playing Rex and have it be a "mom, can I keep him" skit. Similar to Dr. Nefarious, I'm not sure I could travel easily with this, so it too may have to wait for a closer convention.
Bunnymund
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/riseoftheguardians/images/9/9d/Bunnymund.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20121124233440Wanted to do this one for awhile, and I think I have some of the mechanics of the stilts required ironed out. Aside from the stilts, the fursuit itself isn't too odd, and it could be quite fun. However, I NEED to be part of a group for this one (I know a guy who does a way too perfect Jack Frost, and I'd need to convince him). I can see this traveling fairly well, too, and the person I'm thinking of will likely be attending CC35, so it is a possibility. I just don't want to bug him with this idea yet (he and his wife finished with a major con, and I'm sure they'll be tuckered out for a few more weeks).
Princess Sapphire
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/Dragonrider1227/PrincessSapphirewallpaper.jpgMight make as a hall costume, but as a stage costume, this seems too plain. It's also been done before, and isn't well known, so I feel it could flop too easily. If Arisia or Costume Con were anime cons, I might attempt it, but I feel it won't be right.
Metal Robot Unicorn
http://www.unblockedgamesmania.com/gamepicBig/robotunicornattackheavymetal.jpgHad this on the list for awhile. Could be fun to try it now, although it may be a bit too old to really get a good kick out of. If done as a standing fullsuit, could make a fun hall costume.
Marquis de Hoto
http://files.spieletipps.de/cimg/b3/3c/6d/b33c6d_51c2d69e1bf60_ciA2NDIDYmNfYzYxNg==.jpgFrom the game, Night of the Rabbit. I absolutely ADORE this character, and his speeches in the game would make for great presentation. However, like Princess Sapphire, he may be a bit too plain for the stage, and there is the fact that NotR isn't super popular and people may just mistake me for the White Rabbit of Alice in Wonderland's fame. Still, something to consider.
Woodsprite
http://gamebolds.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/waldschrat-arbeitsdatei.pngAnother Night of the Rabbit character. This would be a very interesting costume, and I can see it being a crowd-pleaser as well as being generally fun to just walk around in. His voice in the game is also just SO RICH and delightful to listen to that pulling something for use on stage would be easy. Again, though, not sure about using him.
Mythbusters Ball Gown
Random idea bouncing around in my head. I could see this working well with a group, or as a stand-alone performance. Haven't really gotten anything hammered out about this yet, and again, not sure about how to make it travel-able. ;P
Dr Who Lolita outfit
Been planning this one forever, since a friend wanted to do a group of these a few years ago. Probably would be a hall costume, although with the designs I want to add, it might be impressive enough for a stage presentation. If I could get a few people in a group, it could become part of a theme.
Asriel Dreemur (sort of NSFW artist rendition on that second one)

Haven't played Undertale, only watched a few people, but I love this version of one of the characters. It's popular enough to be lots of fun, and this particular design is really quite interesting to me. There's also the possibility of Toriel too (

Abyss
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10568002/http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1402.phpI... just... THAT DESIGN! O_O I mean, how frigging cool! The main problem with her is traveling and designing a good way to walk around with that snake half.
Matilda
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5627500/Same as above. Just LOVE MissMab's characters. XD Again, no idea about how to make her so TSA doesn't have conniptions.
Princess Luna and Celestia
http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/b/b6/Luna_and_Celestia_discuss_Twilight_S3E01.png/revision/latest?cb=20121114054251Would be awesome to finally make these two. The only hang up (aside from making them travel-able, although I may have that figured out) is my brother HAS to be Celestia and he HAS to be able to make it to Arisia/Costume Con. He's already kind of hinted he might not mind a trip to Canada, so I'm hoping that maybe this is possible. And yes, we have an ultimate skit of awesome planned for when this happens. And it will happen, even if it is not soon. =3
Well, that was quite a bit. But it did help me feel better and get all my thoughts out. ;P
