YES!!!
Okay, so seemed to take forever and then some, even if it was only 3 solid days of painting and moving stuff (and when I say solid, I mean skipping sleep 'cause I'm weird like that and when I get into a groove I'd rather just finish it all instead of stopping and having to start up again; did nap a few times, but otherwise...).
But the wall stuff is hung, the walls are all painted perfectly, and the furniture is now rearranged to be more functional! ^^
YIPPEE!!! It's all done and clean!
And the AC is back! *happy dance* No more whining from the others in the house that its too hot! XD I also now have 5 tutoring students, so that's good. :) I like helping people via tutoring, and the summer students usually need even more help because of the shortened semester.
I've got six sewing projects I want to finish (with multiple pieces to each) because then everything fits perfectly into my shelves. One is almost done (sort of; I'm probably going to add to it so it won't be finished as quickly ;P), so I may hopefully have pics soon.
I also want to try a fursuit this summer, just because I want to learn more about how to make them before I attempt some of the more complicated future projects (aka, the Phoenix and those weta legs). I want to do a full fursuit, with padded digigrade legs, but probably no moving jaw for now.
My problem is what to attempt. I have some fur (aside from the yellow; that's reserved specifically for the Phoenix project), and I'd like to use what I have for this first fursuit.
What's in my inventory is a bit of faux light gray mink fur (has stripes shaved into it), some gray and dark gray striped Fun Fur (stripes are supposed to mimic faux mink, I think), some green and black striped fur (with enough to be very viable for half of the suit), and a good chunk of royal blue and deep royal purple furs (either by itself could be a full fursuit). I also have some black and white short teddy bear fur, but I don't want to do a whole fursuit in just those.
Now, my first thought was maybe trying to make a Princess Luna fursuit (MLP:FiM fan!), but the blue and purple are just the wrong shades and too dark to dye to the right shades. I then thought of
this, because I liked that design from one of
cynthia_harrell's posts, even if the colors would be a little off.
But now I'm contemplating more generic things. Anybody have an animal they want to suggest? I'm kind of open to anything right now.
