The dark paths are just that - dark.

But they're away from Milliways proper. Away from King Mickey, if only for the moment; Axel won't forget that the King can follow them into the dark, too.

"If I could get you to an unconnected world easily, I would," he says to Demyx.

Axel's back in uniform, long black coat and all, as he strolls the roofs of Agrabah.

He likes this world, in all its sun and heat, and that, combined with a plethora of the less pathetic Heartless would be why he brought Spoon to this particular world.

"You remember what I told you about the big ones, right?" he asks over his shoulder.

It's cold outside, and very clear, before the dawn. The stars are very bright above, in the deep blue firmaments, and it's almost enough to make one forget that a doorway away, you can see it all ending.

Almost.

Voids and endings are things that are never far from Axel's mind, and for good reason, but that, hopefully, will be changing.
