When you’ve been hurt too much you just start to try to not feel. You’d rather be empty than risk feeling anything, because though you may feel happy you know that it won’t last and the shadow of pain is always lurking. Happiness becomes a façade of the crippling sadness; its the mask it wears to fool you into thinking you are okay. You are never okay. Yoochun knows this too well, so he chooses to shut anything out, it’s a lot easier to pretend to be happy then to actually be happy.
Junsu notices, he always has, knows Yoochun’s pains-knows them all too well. Though that has been the case, he was always afraid of doing something, of scaring him away. He watches, watches all the time and yet doing nothing about it, it's pathetic he thinks how useless he is to him. They pretend to be the happy couple all the time but he knows-knows that Yoochun isn't happy, not even close; he's falling apart right before his eyes.
He wants to catch all the pieces before it falls into the ground and breaks, but as he tries to do so he cuts himself as well. He doesn't know, he wants to know how to fix him or at least mend him. He loves him too much to let go, knows too much of his pain already. He knows it's Yoochun's battle- but he wants to protect him - protect him from his own pain and sadness, protect him from himself. It hurts him more than anything knowing that he cannot solve it-he wants to so badly.
Junsu wishes that Yoochun would let him in, let him know so that he doesn't have to pretend anymore. He loves him, sees his best and still loves him at his worst.
Yoochun thinks that Junsu would leave him just like everyone else has done, hurt him and shatter his heart. He knows that one day he would get fed up with him, leave his broken heart on the floor. He'd be all alone again and maybe for the better, as he cuts everyone around him with his glass heart anyway. He's just waiting for that time, he knows it will come, he feels it yet he doesn't want it to happen. Because he loves him so much
Junsu will prove him wrong and until the day that Yoochun finally realizes of his love, he will stay-even until the end of forever.
