Like the girls, hate their management and their work ethic. They have not done enough for all the praise they get. All they are is hype. They just released one mini-album and three solo songs, that does not warrant passage into the big fish pond. Not when their management is willing to let them go soft and get lazy.
1). You girls are idol artists because you are young. DO SOMETHING TO STAY RELEVANT. Vacationing in LA/Jeju/Seoul Clubs, Dara me2day updates about eating corn does not look like work to me. WTF managers.
2). I disapprove of YG for making you girls skip your rookie stages. Perhaps the huge hype you guys received got managers thinking that they don't need to try with you girls and thus don't. Rookie stages are good for growing into/gaining a niche :| It's also good to not have things come so easily. I mean, barely promoting a song and they get huge awards? What about groups that work themselves into the hostpital---they get nothing :|
3). You girls debuted as a group. DO MOAR AS A GROUP. Do not immediately springboard into solo work after one mini-album for crissake. That cancels out group dynamics and the public view of you girls as a group. Even super popular brother group---Big Bang did stuff together before venturing into solo work.
4) Sure they weren't completely dead--they did do a MV for Try to Follow Me (like a month after the song came out because they were apathetic at the fact that it was popular), filmed a few commercials, and went to a few fashion shows, but that's light compared to the schedules of indie/non-popular artists. Most people do more than that in a month, let alone SIX.
I am a strict supporter of education, and perhaps it angers me the most that Minzy is not attending middle-school for this kind of schedule. You quit because of promotions, but you are barely promoting. So what is this?
They did impress me with Fire and I Don’t Care. The girls really do have potential--CL is a charasmatic rapper, Minzy is good at working the stage, Park Bom has a fabulous voice, Dara...is pretty... but I feel that YG is letting them get lazy/become soft with this epic prolonged hiatus.
Let's hope the rumors are right and that they are coming out with something before the year end. I doubt they will get the huge splash they got the last time around (because honestly, media crowds are so fickle and ADD), but I have been wrong before. :P
