Yay, nothing like spending time with my family....

Well, in the last couple of days, I've been visting various relatives that I haven't seen since Summer started. They all are in agreement about me. They all say that I'm fat.

One of my uncles' and his family just came back from a month long vacation in China. So a bunch of family are gathered by to visit. They brought back some clothing and stuff to sell (they help out in a clothing stall) and let me choose some stuff to keep. A lot of their clothing is really cute and stylish...but I can't fit in most of the stuff they brought back. I even tried the 'XL' and 'XXL' sizes. It's really sad. When they found out that I can, at most, fit into the largest sizes, they just shrugged and said, 'oh well, at least you can fit into the fatso sizes'.

Normally I don't mind when they stuff like that. I either shrug it off or laugh along with them. It's really common to call each other fat, stupid, lazy, ect in our family. Most of the time they're joking/teasing. But being called 'fat' by three of my Aunts, two Uncles, three cousins, my grandma, and my parents really puts a damper on my mood after a while.

I mean, I'm okay with criticsm from my family. Constructive criticsm is good, and comparisons usually get me riled up to not lose/do my best. But really...after a while, they started comparing me to my girl cousins. Lisa, who's just eleven, is already she is taller than I am, more 'curvy', has a better figure, slimer, and generally 'more attractive' looking. My other cousin, who wasn't present but older than me (26) is crowned as the 'most studious', the smartest, and generally attractive. Christine (26) is labeled the 'most elegant' and the 'stylish one'. Melissa is the most 'mature' and 'polite'. Now, I'm fine with being short and being a 'small-medium size' in American standards, but just plain bashing in the other areas really hurt.

Heck, even Sweethikari-chan who tagged along for the family reunion was complemented on. She had 'beautiful skin' a 'lovely figure' and 'was oh-so-polite and elegant'.

I guess I've been labeled the 'fat, ugly, easygoing and lazy' one out of the young women/girls in my family. Well, at least I'm easygoing.

family, life
