Erna Lechowicz, 55 of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, died Thursday, March 25, at her home. Funeral servicess will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at the Stiffler-Hamby Mortuary Phenix City Chapel with the Reverend E. D. Helton officiating. A private entombment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Lechowicz was born July 20, 1948 in Germany, daughter of Franz and Anna Hofler. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Alan F. Lechowicz of Ft. Mitchell; her children, Natalie Sanders of Columbus, Donald Richard Lechowicz of Agusta, Ga., Christopher Anthony Lechowicz of Columbus, Michael Andrew Lechowicz of Pittsview, Ala., Frank Joseph Lechowicz and Stephanie Marie Lechowicz of Ft. Mitchell; brothers and sisters, Hilda Horton of Texas, Inga Westermayr, Rosi Gueder, Christa Graser, Anita Hofler, Betty Engelhardt, and Willie Hofler all of Germany; grandchildren Kevin Christopher Lechowicz and Michael David Sanders; numerous nieces and nephews.
