wo0o, ok so i woke up earlier than usual so i could go out on my search for jobs lol. i thought i was only gunna apply to like 4 places...but it turned out to be 7...i guess im really fucking determined and desperate lmfao.
the train was freakin insane though, there was like a fire on 191st so i sat there...talking to this lady...for like an hour. we spoke about everything from schools, to journalism, to american idol, and to how crazy shit can get on the nyc subways (dont u just love chit-chatting w/ random people like that?). then i was getting desperate for a cigarette, which sucks when ur stuck on a train and can smell the smoke.
so anyway, i first went into tower records. well let me just give the list of places: tower records, pottery barn, victoria's secret, urban outfitters, this lil shoe boutique (forgot the name lol), gracious homes, and barnes & nobles. im pretty sure its either gunna be pottery barn or victorias secret. tomorrow, i have to go in during the afternoon at pottery barn for some open house and interview thing, and the guy said theyre really looking for a lot of employees this summer. and victorias secret is like desperate for workers...as so i was told. and they should be giving me a callback in about a week.
the urban outfitters application was... really funny. like i sat there literally laughing to myself. they had some weirdo questions lol. like:"what attracts u to urban outfitters and when was the first time uve ever stepped foot in one?" and "what cool books have u read?" oh and, "give us a list of the last couple cd's uve bought?"...i sat there wondering how this could be relevant to the job, but i guess its mostly out of humor lol.
anyway, after that lil fiasco of running around and filling out applications...it got really hot out so i went to IT'S A WRAP, and got a smoothie. (<3 that place). and during my time at barnes & nobles, after filling out an application of course lol, i mustve stood there for about an hour looking at books. lol...i dunno if im weird...well we all know the answer to that one...but i really enjoy the smell of a new book, i dunno why, ive just always liked taking a whiff of any new novel i get ever since i was lil. ok maybe i shouldnt have said that lmfao.
ok well im gunna go exchange these shit shoes from loehmans and possibly buy some cool item from there lol. to0odles no0odles.
