Back in Minneapolis! XD
I'm back at MCAD... Aside from having layovers from heck, my flights back were pretty cool. I left my hometown on thursday at about 7am, and arrived in Minneapolis at around 9pm. There were a few amusing moments when my travels started out, and I got the ticket agent to giggle while checking my bags.
me: Yeah, I've got a pretty good idea of what all is packed in there... *heaves insanely large bag onto little weighing thingie*
him: Do you know your bag is over weight?
me: Woo hoo! My bag's over weight! XD
him: *snerks* it's 60lbs.
me: *shoves next ridiculously large bag up there* What'cha wanna bet that one is over weight too? XD
him: *looks at monitor* Yup, that one is also 60lbs.
me: WHEEEE!
I think that I amused him so much with my spazzyness... that he forgot to charge me for having overweight bags! Also got to have a nice chat with one of the security guys in San Juan, mainly because one of my carry-ons is what they call a 'busy' bag. Translation? I'd shoved all my electronics, wires and 1/3 scale dolls in there, so the security people really didn't know WHAT to make of what they were seeing. ^___^
Zirconmermaid was nice enough to pick me up from the airport. Amazingly enough there were no snaffus involving my 120 pounds of luggage and/or it's retrieval (this of course is not including the 30-40lbs that I had as carry-on). She was nice enough to take a half-starved Kiki-chan to perkins... well, I was half-starved cause I wasn't gonna pay the uber expensivo prices of Airport food and only had what would constitute a snack at around 2pm.
After Perkins, we headed over to her place, and I got to see the newest addition to her little brood; Willow, a bobobie sprite. ZM also got to check out the face-up on my newest doll (Erik), since she had seen him pre-face-up before I left for home.
While at ZM's house, we played the great 'wig-swapping' game with the dolls. Mainly because I wanted to see what Erik would look like in a Kana-long, as opposed to the regular Kana wig he was already wearing. He looked pretty darn good in the longer wig. So, ZM and I traded Erik's dark-blood-chocolate Kana for Kaguya's garnet Kana-long. I'll post photos of him later...
Ugh, I've got a to-do list that is a little insane... and classes start tomorrow. *sigh*
Art stuffs:
-Weisshund - scrapping final image that I was working on cause I went back and took a closer look at it. Disproportionate out the wazoo. Will try a slightly different angle for this.
-Mr. Hhhh - i has a list... for the love of all that his holy and wrapped around a baked potato... i has a list.
-Fanart/conventions
* Need to scan and color Sirius Black and Ginny and need to finish inking Ron for the Chibi-HP series.
* Need to work on my Fuuruba 'roof-top' series, scan + color Kyo, need to actually pencil Yuki, and need to at least get a frikkin thumbnail of Momiji.
* HP presidential pins.
* coloring book?
Other stuffs:
- Finish dragging all my stuff out of living room
- Clean MY room... stepping over stuff isn't fun.
- Re-arrange room so I have access to the lower shelves on my shelving unit.
- Buy second shelving unit so I can build a display tower at conventions.
- Go shopping, re-heated pizza gets old REALLY fast.
Awe shoot... someone tell me I don't NEED this uber gorgeous doll named Kyle Reese that will tower a good four inches over my tallest doll... I don't need a 70cm doll. Nope, don't need a 70cm, they are heavy, and hard to find clothes for (unless ya make 'em yerself, which I'm getting better at) and uhm... my point was? Right, no 70cms. -_-;;;;
