I'm beginning to have hope for our American Orthodox Church again. The All-Americas Council began in Pittsburgh yesterday. I have yet to hear any substantial feedback, but nonetheless I am hopeful. I had an absolutely awful dream last night. I drove on my own to Great Vespers at Holy Ascension and when I get there I found them doing a rendition of some worthless play - involving people stretched from the sanctuary through to the narthex. Joyous feast! Overall it's been a good feast day. Last night I went over to St. Vladimir's Church in Dexter (near Ann Arbor) for the festal Vigil (as it's the church's patronal feast day and also its 25th anniversary) and this morning I was able to join the church for the Hours and the festal Divine Liturgy. I'm back from the Monastery! By the grace of God Holy Dormition had space for me to stay over the weekend, and I was able to go up Thursday night and stay till shortly after lunch today.
