I read this book yesterday call The Spirit of a Woman, Stories to Empower and Inspire edited by Terry Laszlo-Gopadze. I also read this book about crystals used in healing...I know, super new-age 'witchy' (as Elaine says) but this stuff is REAL!
I began the autobiography of Mark Twain but was kind of turned off by the 200 + page introduction. Just from the twenty or so pages of that I read I couldn't help but think, "What an egomaniac this guy is!" Now that I have the damn thing, I'll have to read it. But I'm not going to dive into it as I'd thought I would. Willie bought it for me last year for a Christmas present but then lent it to someone else before he gave it to me. I bought it for myself the other day in the spirit of helping out the original Amazon bookstore (the oldest feminist bookstore in the world) fight going out of business.
