I am watching (and really enjoying) Samurai 7. It is an anime remake / homage of Kurosawa Akira's lasting masterpiece, "Seven Samurai."  In an effort to look at some of the parallels and differences I looked at the wiki page on Seven Samurai - and immediately ran across several spoilers.

Interesting read. Probably nothing to do with FFXI, but does prove that they WERE out go get you.

Was reading up on BLM on the alla-k forums, for that's my next 75. Yes, I mean seventy-five. Anyhow, one of the posts was entitled "3 hit build". My immediate thought was "well, if you're a taru and stack on a lot of zenith gear and HP > MP convert gear it should be pretty easy to get killed in three hits"....
