Not quite as planned
I was planning to finish up my past due assignments for last semester's career planning class this weekend, yet here's Saturday night, and I haven't made much progress at all. I wanted to have both projects completed before I meet with my counselor (since she was my teacher for that class), but considering that I also have two essays due in my regular classes on Monday, I'll postpone the field study project and just make sure I have my portfolio ready tomorrow. Honestly I should be working on that right now, but I'm sleepy, and I wanted to set up my new monitor and mouse. I know I said the same thing when I connected my new hard drive, but suddenly upgrading to such a huge resolution is pretty unsettling. Still, it's a fantastic monitor, and the rest of my computer looks pretty lame in comparison. It's all mismatched and weird-looking. I need to find a new wallpaper now too; my Concerned background is all stretched and pixelly.
Fortunately, I gave away most of my shifts next week, so I ought to be able to catch up on homework and, with any luck, make some progress on my VG5 video.
Oh yeah, after work today, Hot-n-Cold played on the radio, which prompted me to give in and buy NOW 29, since I've been wanting a copy of Disturbia, and while I was at Dimple, there was a rack with super cheap CDs and DVDs (like 3 bucks at most), so I grabbed a pile that sounded interesting, and sixty bucks later I have more albums to work my way through. >_>
I think there was something else I wanted to talk about, but I'm too sleepy to remember, so I'll just finish configuring my monitor and mouse and get some sleep. Lots of work to do tomorrow.
